The Power of Manifestation

From time immemorial, we have used manifestation techniques to bring about specific effects or circumstances in our lives. In most cases, talking about the power of manifestation refers to using the Law of Attraction. The law of attraction is practiced not only by New Age practitioners but also by science and various religious organizations. Through this power, practitioners are able to manifest almost anything they want – a new car, a bucket full of money, a house abroad and even love!

We must get past our inner skeptic

But getting past our inner skeptic is the first step. To do that, we have to understand how our mind works.

Most people believe that humans use only about 10% of their brain power. Others believe about 90%. The truth is that 100% of our brain power is used, but not all at once. The amazing thing about our minds is that we can learn to tap into the other 90% and get more of what we want in life.

Here's how it works: We have a conscious mind and subconscious mind. Our conscious mind decides what we want, but it has to convince our subconscious mind what we want is worth having. When our subconscious mind agrees, that's when manifestation happens.

So why doesn't our subconscious always agree? Because most people believe they are not worthy of having what they want.

Our self-esteem and self-worth were determined by our parents, teachers, friends and society when we were young. If you were told you had bad grades or never did anything right, you would believe it because your young brain didn't know any better. Those beliefs stayed with you as you grew older unless your beliefs were changed by new experiences or new information.

Let journaling lead your way while making space

Once you get past your inner skeptic, you can move onto actively manifesting through simple tools. There are a few things that you can do in your life right now that will help you get to the place where you feel like you're manifesting on a daily basis.

If you're serious about becoming a manifestation machine, try taking the next two weeks and experimenting with the following suggestions:

Get serious with a journaling practice. I mean this — write down what you want and then ask yourself honestly how badly you want it. Be willing to take baby steps in the direction of what you want (and be willing to write down your baby steps!). Let your imagination run wild. How would your life look if you had everything on your wishlist? Write about it every morning for a week. There's no better way to turn something into a reality than writing about it.

Make space for manifestation magic to occur. You have to create room in your life for new things to come. If your closet and garage are overflowing, how can new things come into your life? Perhaps it's time to do some spring cleaning. Maybe trash some old clothes, magazines or books and open up some space in your home, car or office for something new to come into being. Make room in your life for something good.

We take the old-fashioned approach, and we’re proud of it. So many people have forgotten that manifestation is much more than just visualizing what you want. It also involves action, as well as understanding your limiting beliefs and letting them go. If that isn’t enough to convince you, then perhaps another quote will: “You are asking for something you think is good for you, but if you are being honest with yourself, the real reason you want this is because it will make you feel better right now.” Believe it or not, expecting your manifestation to eventually give you a big ol’ kick in the butt can often hinder your progress toward achieving it—because in your mind, it turns into a self-fulfilling prophecy. You think that focusing on feeling good right now is being lazy or unlike a proficient manifester. But taking action before visualizing your result won’t turn your subconscious against you; instead it helps keep you focused on manifesting only what is best for you in the long run.
