2-Ingredient Mask for Split Ends

If you've been struggling with split ends, it's important that you understand it is caused by the weakening of the structure of the cuticle. This happens because of the heat-related styling methods we use, harsh chemicals from highlighting and straightening, and free radicals we're constantly exposed to.

When this happens, it's essential you take action in the form of natural treatments to rejuvenate and recondition your hair. An excellent way to accomplish is with avocado and olive oil.

Avocados offer minerals that seal the cuticle, as well as proteins and vitamins to nourish and soften the hair. Additionally, olive oil adds extra shine and sleekness.

  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1/2 cup olive oil

  1. Mash ingredients together in a bowl with a fork.
  2. Apply to your split ends.
  3. Leave on 1/2 hour while enjoying a warm bath or watching your favorite Netflix show.
  4. Rinse thoroughly, and wash/condition your hair as normal.

Please be careful with this mask if you have super blonde chemically treated hair like mine. Anything and everything with color easily turns my bright blonde into a more dull, brassy blonde. I’ll post a hair mask recipe for bleach blondes soon!
