How to Body Scrub and Why It's So Important

As you're already probably aware, your skin is the largest and a massively important organ. Not only does it protect us from the elements, but it is also essential for eliminating toxins and pollutants from our bodies.

Body scrubbing is an amazing way to make this happen. It's one of the easiest and most affordable ways to help our bodies detoxify and flush out toxins that can become trapped.

Daily body scrubs can do wonders for:

  • Improving blood circulation
  • Removing dead skin cells
  • Lessening the appearance of cellulite
  • Removing environmental pollutants

Plus, it makes your skin glow and extremely soft, while giving the immune system a boost. I've even found that I sleep better after engaging in regular body scrubbing.

Here's how it works:

#1 - Use a washcloth, hand mitt, brush, loofah, or scrub paste.

#2 - Scrub your body in the bath or shower when your pores are open. Make sure to give your skin time to heat up and soften before exfoliating.

#3 - Scrub your body in a circular motion — working upwards from your hands to your heart and then again working upwards from your feet to your heart.

Scrubbing in a circular motion helps with blood circulation. Also, make sure you use a bit of force when scrubbing, but of course not too much. If you are making your skin raw, this is too much.

A pink skin tone means you're doing a great job and that your blood is moving like a charm!
