A handful of my friends have recently experienced the Clear and Brilliant laser rejuvenation treatment. After hearing so many amazing things about it, I decided I needed to give it a try and share the experience with you!

The Clear and Brilliant laser was approved in 2011 by the FDA and works by creating millions of microscopic treatment zones that replace the damaged upper layers of the skin, stimulate collagen production, and remove dead cells.

Luckily, it's considered a gentle treatment with very little downtime required after each session. I love this, as some lasers can be both painful and hard to recover from.

What Does the Clear and Brilliant Laser Do?

  • Improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Reduces pore size.
  • Evens out skin tone, pigmentation, and texture.
  • Improves the skin's overall appearance.
  • Often helps with active acne and acne scars.

What to Expect During the Treatment

For my first treatment, I decided I wanted to focus on my face, neck, and chest. It all started with a mild numbing cream being applied to each of if the areas being treated.

Once my skin was numb, the laser hand piece was applied over my skin for about 15-20 minutes per area.

As the laser was applied, I noticed that some spots were more sensitive than others, but besides that it was a pleasant experience.

The numbing cream did a wonderful job!

The Recovery

Following the treatment, my face, skin, neck and chest burned for about an hour and was red and hot to the touch for the rest of the day.

The next morning my skin was still red and hot, but it seemed to get better as the day progressed. After a day or two my skin felt a bit like sandpaper and was dry. I was able to put on makeup and cover it, but I think it's best to let the skin breathe as much as possible.

When Do the Results Appear?

I noticed a huge difference at the two week post treatment mark. My skin was very soft, glowy, and my pigmentation was fading. My fine lines seemed to improve and my pores appeared smaller. Also, my skin seemed clear and brighter!

How Many Treatments Are Needed?

The trained expert who performed my treatment said my skin would benefit from three treatments, but it can range from 2-6 treatments.

The more treatments, the more results, especially with pigmentation and fine lines. It is tailored to each person's needs.

I scheduled my follow-up for next month, and I can't wait to see what a difference it makes.

How Much Is the Treatment?

This is a splurge, but I really think its worth it. The treatment can range from $400-$600.

Last Thoughts

I really loved this laser, and I think it is very beneficial for women in their 20’s, 30’s and 40’s. I'm excited to try it again to see how my skin transforms even more.

One word of advice if you give it a try: Be careful about the products you use within the first few days after the treatment is performed. The key is to be as gentle as you can, while staying out of the sun and wearing sunscreen.
