I have a deep love and admiration for cosmetics innovators and the products they deliver.
When I was a little girl, I remember sneaking into my mom's bathroom and putting on eyeshadow before school. When I'd walk downstairs, my mother would quickly tell me to go wash my face because I was too young to be wearing eyeshadow.
However, I will never forget the day she took me to the Bobbi Brown makeup counter to ask the makeup artists to teach me how to do my makeup properly.
Mother chose Bobbi Brown at that time because they had a more natural vibe. I learned so much and soaked up every second of my tutorial.
Fast-forward to today, and I'm constantly trying new and fun looks with my cosmetics. Creating new looks is a creative outlet for me.
I love combining different shades and textures, and to keep my creativity flowing, I change my makeup routine constantly. I'm always amazed at what comes out on a daily basis. A new product practically comes out every single day, and I am still as excited with every new launch that I see.
I've been asked several times what my favorite makeup brands and products are, so I’m going to share what I am absolutely adoring right now.
#1 - Foundation
IT Cosmetics' "Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream" is probably one of my favorite foundations of all time. I love how light it feels on my skin, but it still has amazing coverage. It offers SPF 50+ protection as well as anti-aging properties.
#2 - Concealer
With Kevin Aucoin's "The Sensual Skin Enhancer", a tiny bit of this silky concealer goes a long way. It offers amazing coverage and is long-lasting. It does a wonderful job of covering redness and blemishes, while brightening dark circles because it's thick and creamy.
#3 - Bronzer
I'm loving Too faced "Sun Bunny Natural Bronzer. It's dual-toned and creates a natural-appearing, glowy tan without any orange hues.
#4 - Blush
Nars "Orgasm" is my go-to blush is perfect for literally any time of year. It looks great on so many complexions. I recently read that it's the number one selling blush in the United States, and I'm certain I know why. It's amazing!
#5 - Eye Shadow Pallet
The Real Her "Dream So Big" Pallet is so unique because it has all of my favorite Spring colors to create a beautiful look. It has everything you need in one palette including matte, sheen, shimmer, and metallic to create endless combinations.
#6 - Eyeliner
Stila "Stay All Day" Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner has been my favorite for years. While I love to try new products regularly, I always end up going back to Stila Liquid.
#7 - Mascara
A friend of mine gave Thrive mascara to me, and oh my gosh it's amazing! It lengthens my lashes in an extreme manner. So much so it almost looks like eyelash extensions! It’s not well known yet, but it's worth a try!
#8 - Setting Powder
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder works wonders. This is a super fine setting powder that reduces shine and really gives an airbrush effect to the skin. I use it to set my makeup before I spray my setting spray. I also throw this in my purse to touch up my makeup when I’m on the go.
#9 - Setting Spray
Urban Decay All Nighter Long Lasting Setting Spray is the absolute best for setting my makeup, and the name says it all! It truly keeps my makeup on all day and all night if I want it to. This is a popular setting spray among my girlfriends too!
#10 - Lips
I love Matte Liquid Lipstick by Real Her! The shades are great, and it doesn't wear off when I wear my mask. Plus, it's not drying to my lips, and the color is so versatile and can be mixed with any lip liner to create unique lip looks.
